Shoutout to the archive link trick that opened a blocked news page for me in Jakarta
Last month I was trying to read a big story about a protest in Jakarta but the page just showed a blank error screen. My cousin in Malaysia sent me a screenshot from the same site and it loaded fine for him. I tried the usual stuff like switching to data and clearing my history but nothing worked. Then a guy in a group chat told me to paste the dead link into an archive site instead of hitting refresh. Took about 10 seconds and the full page showed up, photos and all. Now I keep a folder of archive links for any story that gets wiped. Does anyone else save the archive copy first thing, or do you wait until the page goes dark?
