I finally understood why my neighbor stopped posting online
He told me his posts about local issues kept getting taken down. Now he just shares CAT PHOTOS to avoid trouble. Is this self-censorship becoming normal now?

My buddy who runs a food truck downtown got a warning from the city after he complained online about their parking tickets. Now his page is just pictures of his daily specials and his dumb dog. It's the same thing. People are getting tired of saying anything real because it always backfires. It feels like you can't talk about actual problems anymore without someone making it a big deal. So everyone just posts the safest, most boring stuff instead.
