The day my local library in Phoenix pulled a graphic novel for having one swear word on page 3

I went to check out Blankets by Craig Thompson and the librarian said it was moved to the back office for review after a parent complained, so I filed a formal reconsideration request and it took 6 months to get it back on the shelf, but has anyone else dealt with a single complaint removing a book without any committee vote?

Same thing happened with a graphic novel at my library over one parent complaint, drove me crazy.

That one person with a complaint thing happens way more often than people realize. Worked with a guy who got a whole diversity display taken down at a different branch because one lady said it was "pushing an agenda." No one else even knew it existed before she made a stink. It's like the squeaky wheel gets the grease in real life too, at my HOA one person got upset about a neighbor's garden flags and now we have a 15 page rulebook on decorations.
