Warning: my dad's old union newsletter got pulled from the archive site and he won't stop emailing the librarian about it
My dad called me Tuesday night because a 1981 newsletter from his local in Gary, Indiana disappeared off a university archive site he's been reading for years. He said it was the one with the strike vote results in it, about 40 pages, and the whole run for that year is just gone now. I figured he was misremembering until I checked myself and the 1981 folder is empty while 1980 and 1982 are still sitting right there. He's 78 and keeps asking me who decides stuff like that and honestly I didn't have a good answer for him. Has anyone here dealt with a library or archive quietly pulling a whole year of records like this, and did you ever get a reason out of them?

Gary public library scrubbed their 1981 steel files too, so somebody's making these calls everywhere.
