Am I the only one who thinks drop cloths beat plastic sheets every time?

Ngl, I switched from plastic sheeting to canvas drop cloths about 8 months ago on a job in Albany and it wasn't even close. The plastic kept sliding off the hearth every time I moved my rods, but the canvas stays put and doesn't tear when the brush snags a corner. I've done about 40 jobs since then and haven't replaced a single one, where plastic was costing me around $15 a week. Anyone else made the switch, or am I just bad at taping down plastic?
