Cracked a clay flue liner on a 1920s house in Worcester and the homeowner was standing right behind me
I felt the rod catch and then that awful crunch about 4 feet up, so I stopped right away, showed her the camera shot, and told her straight up it was on me before she could even ask. Does anyone here keep a spare liner size on the truck for jobs like this, or do you always order per job?

That crunch is the worst sound in this trade, man. I've had one let go at the threaded joint about 2 feet in and the lady was literally watching from the doorway. Good on you for owning it right away, that goes a long way with people.
