Solar panel install 2010 vs 2025, same roof different world

I helped my uncle put panels on his barn back in 2010. Clunky, heavy, took two full days just to mount the racks. Last month I did my own roof with a kit from the big box store, 6 panels, done by noon. The old ones needed a guy to come out twice a year to clean and check connections. New ones just sit there, app on my phone shows production. I know the tech got better, but the real difference was the mounting system and the microinverters. No single point of failure. My uncle's system had one central inverter and when it died, 4 grand to replace. Mine cost 1,200 extra upfront and I sleep fine. Anyone else made the jump from old gen to new gen solar and noticed the same thing?
