Can we talk about coffee workshops popping up at libraries lately?
Honestly, it's neat to see folks learning about beans together, have you checked one out?

Go ask if instant coffee counts as a bean variety. Watch the instructor try to keep a straight face. Your burnt rubber home brew will look like a win after that. Libraries are for learning, but that question might get you a lifetime ban from the coffee club. Seriously though, those awkward moments are why the workshops happen. We all have to start with the dumb questions before we get any good.

My attempt at home brewing usually ends up tasting like burnt rubber, so maybe I should hit up one of those library workshops. They had a session last month on pour-over methods that sounded pretty cool. I'm just worried I'd be the guy who asks if instant coffee counts as a bean variety.

Messing up in front of others can actually speed up learning, since you get immediate feedback. Ever notice how the worst brews make the best stories later?
