But doesn't that kill the buzz of following along as it comes out? You miss all the weekly talks and guesses with other fans. The wait for trades means you're always behind on the current buzz. Sure, you get the full story at once, but at what cost? Half the fun is in the shared wait with others. Isn't that part of the payoff too?

Totally! That weekly guesswork builds a real community, like when we all obsessed over the secret identity in that Spider-Man arc last year. The theories and inside jokes that come out of those waits become their own kind of story. You're right, trading that for just the whole book later misses the whole live, shared experience.
