Swapped my magnesium float for a bull float on big pours, wish I did it sooner

For the longest time I was out there with a magnesium hand float on every slab, even the 30x40 footers. My foreman kept telling me to use the bull float on the first pass, but I figured my way was fine. Last month we did a big pad in Fresno and I finally listened, hitting the surface with a 3x8 bull float right after screeding. The difference was night and day, way less dragging and the bleed water came up even, so the finish was more uniform. Anyone else fight using a bull float for years, then switch and never look back?
