Overheard a young crew lead bragging about skipping insulation inspections

I was grabbing parts at the supply house Tuesday and heard some 20-something bragging to his buddy how he'd been wrapping up rough-in inspections without the insulation check. Man, that took me back to 2006 when I got my first duct job slapped hard by the inspector in Spokane over missing R-8 wrap. It's tempting to cut corners when jobs are piling up, but that shortcut came back to bite that kid's company in a big way. Anyone else notice new guys ignoring the basics just to get done faster?

Yeah but does his foreman even know he's skipping that step?

Really feel for the guy if his boss has no clue, that's a tough spot to be in.
