Finally nailed a big batch rice trick that only took me 2 years to figure out
I have been trying to make a big pot of rice that stays good for day two without turning into a mushy brick. My first attempt was in 2022, and I ate crunchy-then-soggy rice for a week straight. Last night I cooked 4 cups of jasmine rice with a splash of oil and let it cool flat on a sheet pan before boxing it up, and today it fluffed right back up in the pan with just a little water. Two years for that one small thing, but my Tuesday stir fry is saved. Anyone else found a grain that holds up better than rice for next-day meals?
