My favorite flat iron finally gave out mid-client yesterday
I was in the middle of a blowout in Portland when my trusty GHD Platinum+ just stopped heating. The display showed a flashing error code I'd never seen before, so I had to scramble and borrow a hot tool from the stylist next to me. Has anyone else had a major tool fail on them during a service? What did you do?

Honestly you probably relied too much on one tool anyway.

Haven't we been saying for years that we need better ways to track skills across different departments, not just within one team? Most companies I've worked at had great tools for engineering but nothing for marketing or HR. The real issue might be that no single tool can cover all the bases, so people end up with a mess of spreadsheets and sticky notes instead.
