Vent: been cutting hair dry for 4 months without realizing it

A client at my chair in Tucson asked why her ends felt so rough after a trim and I caught myself going back over the same section with my shears instead of wetting it down first. Turns out I'd been skipping the spray bottle since March because I got lazy with one walk-in and never fixed the habit. Any of you catch yourselves cutting corners like that without noticing?
