A beta reader's 3-word note fixed my whole first chapter

I've been posting prompts and short stories here for about 2 years now, and last month I finally shared a full draft of a novel I'd been working on since March. One beta reader from Portland just wrote 'too many adverbs' in the margin of page 14, and honestly it stung at first. But after I cut 40 of them from that chapter alone, the pacing felt totally different, way more direct. Has anyone else gotten a tiny piece of feedback that forced you to rework something bigger than you expected?
