Hit 50 pages on a prompt about a bus stop in Tulsa and now I can't stop writing

I started a prompt last week about a guy waiting at a bus stop in Tulsa during a downpour and told myself I'd stop at 10 pages. Just checked and I'm at 50 pages and the bus still hasn't shown up. I think the trick was that I wrote the prompt as one single sentence with no period, so my brain just kept going. Anyone else ever had a prompt snowball way past what you planned, and did you keep going or cut it off?
