Shoutout to the framer who suggested we order windows 4 weeks before the rough-in inspection

Our builder's timeline had them coming later, but he said the lead times were crazy and he was right. Has anyone else had a trade give you a heads-up that saved your schedule?

Our plumber told us to order the tankless water heater eight weeks out, which felt crazy early. It showed up with two days to spare before his install date. That kind of heads-up is pure gold.

Eight weeks is a ridiculous lead time for any appliance.

Nah, I get where you're coming from but eight weeks doesn't seem that wild to me. Tankless units are getting harder to find, especially specific brands or sizes. Had a buddy wait almost three months for a Rinnai last year. Plumber probably saved you a headache by giving you that buffer.
