The foreman on our Madison build said skip the zip system sheathing, and I keep going back and forth on whether he was right

We were framing a 3,200 sq ft place outside Madison and the site foreman, who has been doing this for 22 years, told me the Huber Zip panels were a waste of money and to just use regular OSB with house wrap like he always did. We went with his call and saved around $2,800, but now I keep second guessing it every time I read about taped seams and how they handle wind and water. Has anyone here done both ways on similar builds and seen a real difference down the road, or is it mostly marketing?
