Took me 11 weeks to get one window right, and it cost me the whole job

I ordered a custom arched window for a house in Franklin and the builder sent the rough opening specs from a different model, so the frame sat 2 inches proud and we had to reframe the whole wall. What should have been a 3 day install turned into a mess that dragged across 11 weeks once the glass company stopped answering calls. If you've had a window come in off spec, how did you get the supplier to cover the reframe without burning the client?
