Warning: switched to a password manager 8 months ago and my login habits changed in one weird way
Eight months back I finally put everything in Bitwarden after a work buddy kept bugging me about reuse. Before that I had about 40 accounts sharing maybe 3 passwords, and I honestly could not tell you which one went where. Now every single login is a 20 character random string, and here is the weird part: my email inbox is way quieter. Spam and "suspicious sign in" notices dropped from roughly 15 a week to under 5. Part of me thinks the manager is the reason, and part of me thinks some breach list out there just aged out of being useful to scammers. So which is it? Did the unique passwords actually cut the attacks, or am I giving credit to the wrong thing? Has anyone else tracked their spam numbers before and after switching?
