One credit union beat my old bank's payroll setup by miles

I ran two shops in Hamtramck and used PNC for 8 years. Switched to Flagstar's small business accounts last quarter, and their ACH batch processing saved me about 6 hours a week on payroll. The online portal actually shows pending transactions in real time, my old one didn't update until the next day. Has anyone else dealt with lagging bank feeds messing up their books?

I read somewhere that a lot of small banks batch their ACH stuff overnight, which is why the feeds show up late. That lines up with what you're seeing at Flagstar, since real time pending is not something most of them bother with. The lag messes with your books because you're posting payroll before the bank even knows the money moved. Six hours a week is a lot, so I get why you switched.
