At a recent showcase, my abstract digital piece sparked a debate on artist intent.
I showed a digital painting meant to feel calm, but a few people joked it looked like a glitched screen. Some say art should stand alone without notes, while others feel a short description helps viewers connect. It got awkward when one guest kept asking if my file was corrupted. I'm curious where you all stand on explaining your work during displays.

Consider maybe it's not that big a deal if some folks see a glitch. Honestly, a corrupted file joke is pretty funny from the outside. You might just be overthinking a weird moment.

Last month, our local library site had a similar glitch. It showed corrupted files for about an hour. People laughed at first, but then someone pointed out private data was visible. That's not funny at all, it's a real problem. Calling it just a weird moment ignores the actual risk. We should take these things more seriously.

Listen to sarahm19, she's right about privacy risks being real.
