Warning: I saw a whole political debate get scrubbed from a local Facebook group in Boise last month

The admin said it was 'off topic' but the posts were about a city council vote, which seems pretty on topic to me. Has anyone else seen a platform rule stretched that thin to shut down a conversation?

My HOA once deleted a thread about trash pickup for being "divisive," which is my personal best for rule stretching.

But that's the thing, it's not really stretching if the rule is that vague. @troy_fox has a point about avoiding arguments, but calling basic logistics "divisive" just means any talk can be shut down. They basically made a rule against having an opinion.

Wait, is that really stretching the rules? I mean, calling trash talk divisive feels like exactly what they're for, idk. Maybe they just wanted to avoid any argument at all.
