Coffee shop in Bali broke my coworking flow
Sat down at this place in Ubud for 3 hours and the WiFi cut out 4 times. Finally realized I been hunting cheap cafes instead of just paying $50 a month for a proper coworking space. Anyone else keep pretending hostel lobbies work for deadlines?

... so my buddy Mike actually had the same thing happen in Chiang Mai last year. He was bouncing between coffee shops and hostels for like two weeks thinking he was saving money. One day his laptop died mid-call with a client because the power strip in some backpacker cafe just sparked out. He finally caved and got a desk at a proper coworking place and said it was the best $60 he ever spent. Told me the difference was night and day - steady power, fast internet, and he could actually leave his stuff there while grabbing lunch.

Wait, $60 a month for a coworking desk in Chiang Mai? I thought most places there were closer to $80-$100, even the basic ones. Maybe Mike got a deal or it was one of those monthly promos @felix155 missed.
