My Airbnb host in Medellin changed the wifi password mid-Zoom call with a client
I was presenting a report to a client in Chicago from my rental in Laureles, and about 20 minutes in, my screen froze. The host had swapped the router password that morning and forgot to tell me. I ended up sitting in a Juan Valdez cafe down the street with a $4 latte and finished the call on their network. Now I always ask hosts for the modem login on day one, not just the wifi password. Does anyone else keep a backup SIM or hotspot plan just for stuff like this?
