The $60 monitor riser that wrecked my neck for 2 weeks

Bought one of those cheap wooden risers off marketplace to get my laptop higher for a livestream setup and it put the screen way too close, now I can't turn my head without a shooting pain and I'm back to stacking books while I figure out if anyone else has dealt with a gear tweak that made things way worse before better?
