Dimension text layers piling up in my CAD files, drives me nuts
I work for a civil outfit outside Cleveland and every handoff drawing I get has three or four overlapping dim styles that nobody cleaned up. Spent 2 hours last week just purging layers on a drainage plan before I could even start revisions. Why do folks leave those test layers and stray annotative text in there when they know the next drafter has to eat the cleanup time?
Sounds like a you problem, most of that junk is leftover from the surveyor or the architect and nobody wants to delete something that might be a real control point or alignment. Two hours on a drainage plan is nothing, try inheriting a subdivision with 40 tabs of xrefs nobody bound.
