Picked a $29 Shopify theme over a $200 one, here's what happened after 60 days
I was rebuilding my candle shop site and kept going back and forth on themes. The fancy one had all these animations and built in upsells. The cheap one looked plain but loaded fast. My margins are thin, like $6 per candle after shipping, so I went cheap to test the waters. After 60 days my conversion rate went from 1.8% to 2.4%. The fancy theme would have slowed things down and cost me 7 months of profit. Anyone else downgrade their setup and see better numbers?

Ha! Total fluke. Pretty sites still sell. Give it another month.
