Showed a house in Strathcona yesterday and the buyer's kid said something I'll never forget

I was showing a 3-bedroom bungalow near 104 Street and this maybe 8-year-old kid walks into the living room and goes 'this house feels like a hug.' His mom laughed but honestly she put in an offer an hour later. Has anyone else had a client's kid totally sell them on a place without meaning to?

Is that how that really went down? I mean, kids say stuff like that all the time, but a mom putting in an offer an hour later because of it sounds more like a coincidence than a direct cause. In my experience, buyers don't make a 500k decision that fast unless they already had their mind made up walking in. Maybe the kid just verbalized what the mom was already feeling, you know? Like, she was probably already sold on the layout or the neighborhood, and the kid's comment just sealed a deal that was already happening in her head. Take that with a grain of salt, but I've seen clients fall in love with a place long before anyone said anything cute.

Kids have this weird way of cutting through all the bull and just feeling things honestly, lol.
