Hot take: those screwless wall plates look clean but are a nightmare to wire behind

Had a customer in Denver insist on them for a whole kitchen remodel, and after spending 45 minutes trying to get a dimmer switch to sit flush without the screws, I switched back to regular plates on every job after that, anyone else run into alignment issues with those things?

Wait, do those screwless plates actually hold up over time? I helped a buddy with a remodel last year and three months later the whole thing was popping off the wall because the drywall shifted a bit.

Oh man I gotta disagree here. Ive been using screwless plates on all my own stuff for years and they hold up great if you take your time with the alignment. The trick is getting the box perfectly flush with the drywall before you even put the device in.
