So when you say eyeballing never worked, what did you switch to instead? I'm curious if you landed on using measuring cups or a kitchen scale. The scale was the real game changer for me, because my idea of a "spoonful" was always way off. It just fixed that guesswork completely. I had to accept that my eyes are terrible judges for anything that needs to be exact.
