After years of reading reviews, I've come to hate the obsession with benchmark scores

I've been following gadget reviews for a long time, and I'm tired of seeing every review center on benchmark tests. These numbers don't tell you how a device feels in daily use. For instance, a phone might have top specs but have a poor battery life after a few months. Reviews rarely cover that long-term wear. I wish more reviewers would talk about how gadgets hold up over time, not just their launch performance. It's frustrating because buyers make choices based on incomplete info. We need more honesty about real-world use.

Read a review once saying benchmarks don't show how a phone slows down after six months.

See it differently. My phone's been smooth for over a year now. @mary_brown's right that real use matters, but benchmarks aren't totally off.

Benchmarks are so out of touch. My phone ages like milk in real life.
