Using a softer glass batch stopped stress marks in my vases

Now they come out clear and strong every time.

My buddy at the studio tried softer batch last year. Sure it looked clear, but his pieces got weird surface cracks when they cooled in the kiln. A harder mix might mark more but it resists thermal shock way better. You might be trading one problem for another.

Check out the cooling cycle settings. A softer batch needs a slower ramp down to avoid those cracks. Might fix the new problem without going back to the old marks.
