Rant: That week without internet changed how I see deadlines...

When our country had that big outage, my online course final was due in two days... everyone said it was a disaster and unfair. Got lucky with a chill teacher there. My prof would have taken off a full letter grade, no question. Deadlines still matter for most people, the outage was a rare break. Glad it worked out for you though.

@avery_nguyen34 what subject does your prof teach that makes them so strict about deadlines? Sounds brutal. The outage was such a weird mess, I wonder how many other students actually got extensions because of it.
