You know, I always thought "Brave New World" was just a weird sci-fi book when it was on the banned list. Rereading it as an adult, the whole thing about comfort and distraction being used for control hit me like a ton of bricks. It felt way less crazy and way more like a manual for some stuff happening now. Totally changed my view on why they didn't want us reading it.
