I read that a new AI model can now predict protein folding in under 10 minutes. Found it in a research paper summary.

Used to think AI would take over everything fast. But seeing how it messes up simple stuff makes you wonder. Maybe human jobs are safer than we thought.

barbara278 said "human jobs are safer than we thought" but I gotta push back a little on that. Yeah, AI messes up dumb stuff sometimes, but this protein folding thing is legit huge and not just a gimmick. Understanding how proteins fold is a nightmare problem that used to take years of lab work, so cutting it to minutes is a real breakthrough. @haydenc10, I get why you think your job's safe, but this is the kind of behind the scenes AI that's quietly changing whole fields like medicine and biology. It's not about taking over your job, it's about making some jobs way different or obsolete without us noticing. So it's not all doom and gloom, but we can't just brush it off either.
