My client told me my AI chatbot sounded 'too robotic' and it wrecked my whole approach
I spent three weeks building this customer service bot for a local shop in Austin, using all the latest LLM tech and fine-tuning. The owner tried it and said it felt like talking to a fax machine from 1999. I had to completely scrap my formal, scripted responses and rewrite them like how a real cashier would talk, with slang and typos even. Has anyone else had to dumb down their AI to make it feel more human? I swear the more accurate I make it, the less people like it.
