TIL that AI voice cloning totally flopped for my audiobook project

I spent 3 weeks building a custom voice clone with ElevenLabs for a 200 page local history book I was narrating. Sounded great in 10 second clips but by chapter 4 it kept mispronouncing street names and the pacing felt robotic. Switched to a real narrator from Fiverr for $150 and finished in 4 days. Now I get why people push back on AI voices for long form content. Has anyone else hit this wall with longer audio projects?
