Tried voice cloning for my mom's old recipes and it got weird fast
I fed about 20 minutes of her kitchen ramblings into one of those AI voice tools last month, mostly to preserve her instructions for pierogi dough. The clone sounded spot on, but then it started adding stuff she never said, like telling me to add more salt when she never used measuring spoons. I caught it mid-sentence suggesting I microwave the dough, which would horrify her. Turns out the model fills gaps with generic cooking advice, not real memory. Now I stick to plain audio recordings and save the AI stuff for organizing her written notes. Has anyone else had a clone invent details when there wasn't enough source material? We got maybe 3 solid recipes before the whole thing felt like a parody.
