Claude's new memory feature saved my research notes last night

I've been drowning in tabs trying to track AI papers for a side project, and last night in Seattle I finally tried the memory tool in Claude's latest update. It let me save key findings from 3 different arXiv papers without pasting anything manually, and it actually pulled them back up when I asked a follow-up question. The whole setup took about 5 minutes, which beats my old system of messy text files. Has anyone else stress-tested this with longer projects, or does it start forgetting after a certain number of entries?

Is it really saving you time, or are you just trading one kind of manual work for another trust in a system you can't see? I've found these tools get sloppy past the first few weeks, and my own paper notes are still what I go back to when the details matter.
