Saw an air fryer on the counter in a tiny diner in Abilene and now I can't stop thinking about it
Stopped at this little breakfast spot in Abilene last week on a job and there it was, a basic air fryer sitting right next to the flat top, and the cook said he uses it for the home fries since it gets them crispy in 12 minutes without babysitting a basket. I got to talking with him and he does frozen tots at 400 for 10 minutes, shakes them at the 5 minute mark, and swears he goes through 3 bags a day that way. Never once thought about pulling my air fryer off the counter at home and putting it to real work like that. Been doing roasted chickpeas at 390 for 15 with a shake halfway and they come out way better than my oven ever managed. What are you all making in yours that you used to think was only a stove top thing?
