Serious question about frozen vs fresh chicken wings in the air fryer

I always used fresh wings because I figured frozen would turn out soggy (you know, with all that ice on them). But last Tuesday I tried a bag of frozen wings from Aldi and they came out just as crispy after 25 minutes at 390. Has anyone else had better luck with frozen than they expected?

Frozen always comes out rubbery for me.
