The day I stopped microwaving bacon and started air frying it at 375 for 8 minutes

I used to throw bacon on a paper plate in the microwave for 4 minutes. It works fine if you like chewy, pale strips with grease pools. Last Tuesday I tossed 6 slices in the air fryer basket at 375, checked at 6 minutes, flipped them, went another 2. Came out crispy like diner bacon. My wife walked in and asked why I never did this sooner. Has anyone else ruined a breakfast ritual by discovering the air fryer does it better?

Honestly, "ruined a breakfast ritual" is the perfect way to put it. Now I can't go back to microwave bacon, it feels like I'm cheating myself out of that perfect crunch. I've started doing the same temp but for a whole pound at once, and the grease just drips down into the tray instead of pooling on the strips. My wife was skeptical at first but now she gets mad if I even mention the microwave.

Dude yes @ramirez.sage you nailed it. That first batch out of the oven ruins you for life. I did the same thing with a full pound on a sheet tray and now I can't even look at the microwave without feeling like a traitor.
