An old Delta line guy in ATL flipped my view on torque wrench calibration
He told me he found a 40% error on a brand new digital unit using a $50 beam-style checker from Home Depot, so now I send mine in every 6 months instead of trusting the sticker, anyone else skip the free calibration programs from tool reps?
My buddy got a brand new one that was way off out of the box too, like 25% or something, and he only caught it cause his old beam one disagreed. Those free cal days are cool but the reps just check it against their own master, so if that thing's off you're both wrong together.
