Fixing my busted camp stove instead of trashing it was a game changer

Man, that's the modern way for you. Break one tiny part and suddenly the whole thing is trash. Funny how a little elbow grease and a friend who knows what they're doing can save you a bunch of cash and keep junk out of the dump. Bet you felt like a genius after fixing it, even if it was just cleaning a jet. Makes you wonder what else we're throwing away that could be saved with a simple fix, lmao.

TIL that abandoning my weekly convention circuit habit clarified my fandom priorities.

Tell myself to skip that one keynote that never really clicks for me anyway. Grab coffee instead, and honestly that's when I'll bump into someone cool and have a real talk. @the_viola is right about those random chats being gold, but you gotta be rested enough to enjoy them. Used to force myself to stay till my feet hurt, but now I leave when I'm done and actually remember the good parts.

My ladder gave out and now I'm team scaffold

Nothing like a near death experience to fix your stubbornness. I used to treat ladders like a personal challenge, too. Now I see a wobbly setup and my whole body cringes.

Noticed a lot of florists are putting up living walls lately. I set up a small one in my home studio and it's made the place feel so much better. Has anyone given this a try?

Did you have any trouble with drainage in your setup? I tried a small one last year and the water mess was a NIGHTMARE. Now I use a system with built in trays and it's WAY better. The air just feels cleaner with all those plants around. Totally worth the EFFORT if you ask me.

A casual talk at the park changed my marketing approach.

Chobani started with grocery store chats.
