A customer in Omaha asked me to hide the keypad inside their birdcage.

They had a large parrot and thought the cage was the 'last place a burglar would look'. The parrot kept setting off the alarm by pecking the panic button. Anyone else had a client with a truly wild hiding spot?

Wait, isn't the panic button usually a separate thing from the main keypad? I thought you hid the keypad to stop them from disarming it, not the panic button. That bird is just doing its job, hitting the button means there's a problem. The hiding spot is still pretty wild though.

Imagine training the parrot to enter the code instead.
