Customer complained about my siren placement, now I measure distances first

Last month in Austin a homeowner pointed out my panel siren was only 8 feet from their bedroom and asked if that was code, turns out their baby slept right above it, so now I check wall thickness and room layouts before mounting anything, has anyone else had a customer catch a placement issue you never thought twice about?

Making that a standard part of the walkthrough now, I sketch out the floor plan and mark bedrooms before I even pull the drill out, it takes two extra minutes and saves a callback every time. Baby rooms are the dealbreaker, once you know what to look for you'll spot the crib toys through the window before you ever knock.
