PSA: I just swapped out a 2-wire sensor for a wireless one and it saved me a full day

I was doing a retrofit in a 1970s house in Boise and the old wired contacts on the windows were a nightmare to run new lines for. The client didn't want drywall damage, so I tried a wireless sensor kit from a brand I trust. Setup took about 20 minutes per window instead of the 3 hours I quoted for fishing wire. The battery life is rated for 5 years, and the signal is solid. I'm starting to think wireless is the clear winner for these old home jobs. What's your go-to move for retrofits when you can't run new wire?

Totally agree, @king.zara. Wireless is the way for old homes.

Wireless sensors are a total lifesaver in those old plaster and lath houses.
