That cheap wireless alarm system I laughed at ended up on a real job
A buddy asked me to look at this wireless system he bought off Amazon for his lake house. I was ready to roast it, figured no way it would hold up against a real door sensor. But I installed it last Saturday and the damn thing actually linked up to the base station in under 2 minutes. The magnet sensors had solid range too, even through his thick cedar walls. Has anyone else seen one of these budget kits actually pass a real test?

Man that's a good feeling when a cheap gamble actually works out. I grabbed a similar kit from a discount store for my parents' garage, expected it to be junk but the motion sensor picked up my cat from 20 feet away through a window. Your story makes me want to put one of these in my own shed now. Did you have to mess with any of the sensitivity settings or did it work right out of the box?
