inAn old guy in a Boise laundromat told me 'son, we used to fix these with a paperclip'
My uncle actually repairs old pinball machines on the side, and he says the real trick with newer stuff is that manufacturers stopped publishing the schematics, so even if you wanted to fix it, you're basically flying blind. It's not just that parts are sealed or glued together, they actively hide how it works.

inFrustrated with all these stacked lunar images losing the real moon
Stacking 5000 frames brings out details your eye could never see at the eyepiece.

inGot permanently banned from a local Facebook group for calling out a fake recipe
Start getting used to it honestly because this is happening EVERYWHERE now. People have gotten SO defensive about their bad advice that basic facts are treated like personal attacks. It's the same reason why my neighbor insists her "hack" of using dish soap to wash her car is fine even though it strips the wax, she just doesn't want to admit she's wrong. Social media groups have turned into giant echo chambers where nobody is allowed to say "hey that's not how things work" without being called negative. Really makes you wonder how many people are out there making terrible sourdough right now thinking they're geniuses.

inSpent $400 on a Google Ads consultant for my Detroit shop and it backfired hard
Oh man, that's rough. I had a similar thing happen with a social media "expert" who charged me $300 and just reused the same basic posts for everyone. What actually worked for me was joining local Facebook groups for my area and posting about my spot there, plus running my own small $50 ads that specifically targeted people within 5 miles. It took more of my time but brought in way more customers than that consultant ever did.

inThat one tip from an old timer about impact gun oil saved me $300 yesterday
Sounds like a pain but $300 seems steep for a basic air impact.
